Blending traditional bluegrass, country, and old-time Appalachian sounds, the band brings rich harmonies and acoustic instruments — mandolin, fiddle, guitar, and standup bass — for a performance rooted in Western North Carolina tradition.

This free, family-friendly event is the perfect chance to enjoy great music, browse the shelves, and spend a relaxed evening with friends in downtown Morganton. Come early, grab a drink, and settle in for a night of music that feels like home.

Local Authors' Showcase 2026 at Thornwell Books

We are pleased to sponsor a local authors' showcase on Saturday, March 7th from 10 AM to 1 PM. A variety of local authors will be on hand with their books to talk to readers, sell and sign copies of their books. This is a great opportunity to support artists in our own community. All proceeds go to the writers.
