Thornwell Books 5th Anniversary on July 11, 2026, 9 a.m.

Thornwell Books is throwing a party to celebrate our five-year anniversary! We opened our doors on a hot Wednesday in July 2021. Not so coincidentally, that is also the official opening date for our partner, Ugly Duckling Bakery. We have changed and grown over the years; beloved baristas have come and gone as well as our "regulars" and their pets. We have crammed in more bookshelves, rearranged furniture and replaced rugs and cafe equipment and offered countless programs from Tarot card reading to musical performances and a host of author talks. Thanks to your support we are still here and looking forward to many more years as your community bookstore, coffee bar and meeting place.

Please join us on Saturday, July 11th for a grand celebration featuring music, gifts, discounts, raffle drawings, new Thornwell merchandise and, of course, a birthday cake. More details will follow in the coming weeks but save the date now!
